Round 7 Turkey

Track History: Istanbul Park (2005-)
Previous Winners: Kimi Raikkonen (2005), Felipe Massa (2006, 2007 and 2008) and Jenson Button (2009).
Istanbul Park is one of the few circuits on the Formula 1 calendar that is raced in an anti-clockwise direction and provides a more unique challenge. The track was completed in 2005 and back in 2007 Bernie Ecclestone said that the Turkish circuit was the “best race track in the world”. The long turn eight has four apexes and the fast corner in which it is difficult but imperative to find the right line is one to keep an eye on in the 3.3 mile circuit. The inaugural Grand Prix in 2005 caught many drivers out and many drivers have mixed feelings towards the circuit that gets bumpier throughout the race weekend. Jenson Button will be looking for back to back wins in Turkey this year after claiming the chequered flag in 2009.
