Round 3 Malaysia

Track History: Sepang International Circuit (1999-)
Previous Winners: Eddie Irvine (1999), Michael Schumacher (2000, 2001 and 2004), Ralf Schumacher (2002), Kimi Raikkonen (2003 and 2008), Fernando Alonso (2005 and 2007), Giancarlo Fisichella (2006) and Jenson Button (2009)
The temperatures in Kuala Lumpur nearly provide as big a test for the drivers as the circuit itself, as hot and humid conditions make the Malaysian Grand Prix an exhausting race and an extremely demanding track physically. The Sepang International Circuit is not only a demanding track for the drivers but the cars suffer as well, with engines running at full throttle for around three quarters of the lap and the shear heat negatively affecting the tires as well. Thus the wide track with sweeping corners is one of the toughest for engineers to set their cars up for. Malaysians will hope that the Grand Prix will be completed this season after the 2009 race was abandoned due to heavy rain.
