Yas Marina was first used as a Formula 1 circuit last year in the inaugural Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and will host the final race in the 2010 F1 schedule. F1’s first ever day-night race, the 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix presented a new challenge for drivers and contained a mixture of slow and fast corners. The Yas Marina circuit is located on the east coast of Abu Dhabi and is the first major motor racing track in the United Arab Emirates. The circuit cost a huge £800m with the track going underneath a hotel and through the yacht harbour, and provides Formula 1 fans with an unrivalled viewing experience as all 50,000 seats for spectators are located in permanent, covered grandstands.
