The Interlagos F1 circuit in Sao Paolo is at high-altitude and makes races incredibly draining experiences for the drivers. As one of few anti-clockwise driven Formula 1 circuits, Interlagos also presents a different challenge for drivers. Despite being adapted for modern motor sport racing, Interlagos retains much of its tradition and mystique. As the circuit was built within a natural amphitheatre, all spectators get an excellent vantage point from which to watch the Formula 1 action. Most recently Interlagos was the scene for ’s dramatic Formula 1 Drivers’ Championship victory in 2008, beating home favourite and Brazilian Grand Prix winner by a single point.
