2010 a year of German domination?

A day into the 2010 season and the German drivers are looking like they could feature heavily in the podium places this season. In 2nd practice there were 4 German drivers in the top 6, with only the Brits preventing a German clean sweep.

Vettel looks like he'll battle for the championship, Schuey is well Schuey, Rosberg needs no motivation as he lines up alongside Schuey, and The Hulk has had an impressive start to say the least having posted quick times in Jerez and now Bahrain.

So will 2010 be the year for the Germans in F1?

I suppose it's a natural reaction. Schumacher was a World Champion in '94, 16 years ago. He'll have inspired so many drivers into racing and we're starting to see them appear. There'll be many more coming through, too.

Hopefully we keep getting good, young Brits into the sport, too, and there'll be some cracking racing to look forward to.
