Button currently sits third in the driver standings and recently admitted that his title hopes were over, but Schumacher beleives he will have his chance again.

The German said: “Even if maybe he is two per cent below the level of his peak, he is still a phenomenal talent.”

“He can fight for the world championship again in the right car.”

The praise is very much deserved for Button of course with only Sebastian Vettel achieving more podium finishes than the driver in the last seven races.

Over the next six races, Button will be hoping for more success too. There is no doubt he will be after at least one more Grand Prix win as well as a host of podium finishes.

Then, he will put himself into an excellent position to come 2nd to Champion elect Vettel in this 2011 Formula 1 season.
