Fernando Alonso: Well done to the whole team. There was a lot of stress racing here in Italy. But we did the best job possible. It’s a great achievement to get on the podium.

Stefano Domenicali:  ”We stood up to McLaren, Fernando was great at defending his position. It’s too bad for Felipe, who could have come among the first if he hadn’t been knocked off the circuit at the beginning. Alonso? He made an extraordinary start, now we have to provide him with an even more powerful car”.

Jenson Button: “It was a really fun race, fighting with Lewis, with Michael, and with Fernando. It was a good race, it wasn’t for the lead, which was a shame but it’s always very difficult when you are down in seventh.”

“I had a tough start to the race but it was a lot of fun, and the atmosphere here is electric. We have to get things together on race weekends and then hopefully we can be challenging Seb. I don’t know if we could have challenged Seb today. It’s a pity we had such a poor start. It is a little issue but it can cost you a lot of time.”

“We did a great job with the pitstops. It is great to get a second but you always want a lot more.”

Ross Brawn: “Michael drove a fantastic race, we know we haven’t got the fastest car but we have seen everything we know about Michael Schumacher. The FIA were watching it [the incident with Lewis Hamilton] and asking us to be careful. It is a balance between racing and not overstepping the mark. They asked us to be careful, which we were. It was great racing – and great for F1.”

Paul di Resta: “We lost a few positions, just unlucky at the restarts. We were in the wrong place at wrong time. But we went aggressively on tyre strategy and extracted as much as we had. The four points is good for the constructors championship. I’m happy going to fly-aways.”
