Hamilton: I’m an easy target
Lewis Hamilton has been discussing what he describes as his ‘worst year’ in Formula 1.
The 2008 World Champion may have won two races, but he has crashed out twice and often been criticised for his driving style.
He currently sits 5th in the driver standings, 113 points behind leader Sebastian Vettel.
Speaking about the 2011 Formula 1 season, he said: “I’m trying to get back to some good results.”
“It feels like it’s been a worse year than I’ve had previously. I’m an easy target because I’m always in trouble.”
As for the title race, Hamilton admits that the gap is too significant to give that any serious thought right now.
He continued: “I’m not really focusing on that. I’m feeling good but I don’t know what to expect this weekend.”
“We’ll find out tomorrow (in Friday practice) if we are competitive in straight speed.”
