FIA hand Korea GP best race award

The Korea Grand Prix, which was a new addition to the F1 calendar in 2010, has been named as the best race of the 2010 season at the FIA Prize Gala in Monaco.
The inaugural race proved to be a success despite initial doubts over the building of the Yeongam circuit, which was behind schedule but eventually finished on time.
An FIA statement praised the organisers of the race and said the award "recognises the state-of-the-art Korean International Circuit which hosted its inaugural grand prix this year".
The Korea Automobile Racing Association's Yung Cho Chung was delighted with the award and said: "It is a great honour to receive this award on behalf of all of those involved in the first Korean Grand Prix.
"I sincerely thank all of the people who helped to make the event such a success, leading to us receiving this wonderful trophy this evening."
Ferrari's Fernando Alonso took top-spot on the podium in the 2010 Korean GP, with McLaren star Lewis Hamilton second and Alonso's team-mate Felipe Massa third, while eventual world champions Sebastian Vettel was forced to retire due to engine problems.

While I agree Korea was a great race, rain hit and SCs and finishing in darkness, and my boy taking the laurels in what was a fantastic win for him, I thought Singapore was just as nerve racking watching Fernando keeping Vettell behind for the whole 62 laps!! I couldnt tear myself away from the box to even get a beer outta the fridge it was that close the whole way! #:)
