Vettel not chasing Schumi’s record

Red Bull ace Sebastian Vettel has admitted he has not thought of chasing Michael Schumacher's record of seven Formula One World Championship titles.
The young German secured his career first crown on Sunday when he cruised to victory in the end-of-season race in Abu Dhabi to see off the challenge of Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and team-mate Mark Webber.
But he admits he has no intention of threatening the remarkable feat of his compatriot, who he looked up to as a child.
"What Michael did was an incredible achievement," he said.
"Knowing how difficult it is to get one title after a very long, rough season, with ups and downs, to compare anyone with Michael's success is quite difficult.
"We will see what happens but at this stage Michael's record is far out of the reach and it is not what I focus on. I will take it year by year, step by step.
"I do not think you can approach Formula One with the approach that I want to beat this or that record.
"I have always said I have been looking up to Michael since I was a little boy and I still am.
"It is not so much for the number of races he won. Of course, his success is very important. It is much more his style and how he did it."
