Buemi targets Red Bull drive
Toro Rosso driver Sebastien Buemi has cooled reports suggesting he is on the verge of sealing a switch to Renault.
The 21-year-old Swiss driver is contracted to Red Bull, although he has been a regular starter for Toro Rosso over the past two seasons, picking up six points in 2009 and seven already so far this year.
He said of the rumours: "The team confirmed me for next year so I'm really happy to be part of the family and to continue working together with Toro Rosso for the 2011 season.
"Obviously it's really good when some of the teams are looking for you because it means that they think you are good enough to fit in their team. So this is good, you are happy when you hear those kinds of things.
"But Red Bull have helped me so much in the past and are still helping me so I want to stay with them as long as I can. I want to be scoring points, I want to win races and championships. This is I think pretty clear for most of the drivers.
"We work really hard and I'm confident that in the future I'll be able to step in the Red Bull which is now the fastest car."
