Red Bull led the way in both of the opening two practice sessions for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Sebastian Vettel topped the timesheets in the opening session, before Mark Webber was quickest in the afternoon.

Webber suffered an electrical problem towards the end of the day, but not before he recorded the fastest time, edging out Ferrari's Fernando Alonso into second place.

Vettel and the second Ferrari of Felipe Massa were third and fourth respectively, while McLaren duo Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button could only eighth and 13th places.

Vettel had led the way in the first practice session, being more than three-tenths of a second quicker than his nearest rival, Hamilton.

Renault's Robert Kubica was third fastest, with Vettel's team-mate Webber in fourth and Force India's Adrian Sutil enjoying a superb run in being fifth fastest.
