Scintillating Sutil does it again!

finished in the points for the fifth race in a row after finishing in a superb 6th place for . It was another frustrating weekend for as he finished 16th.

Liuzzi was among nine drivers to be given a penalty for lapping too quickly under safety car conditions.

You could argue that ’s horrific crash did play a part in Sutil finishing sixth but you have to give credit to the German.

Adrian drove brilliantly and he pulled off some decent overtaking manoeuvres. He even managed to keep behind him during the middle part of the race.

Not expected

replaced Sutil in the first free practice and posted the 16th quickest time. In the third practice session, both Liuzzi and Sutil were in the Top 10 and I fancied at least one driver to make it into Q3.

Unfortunately both drivers were not able to make it into Q3 and to be honest I was shocked by this. I’m sure will have been disappointed that at least one Force India driver did not end up in the final qualifying session.

Adrian ended up in 13th and Tonio qualified just behind him in 14th. It was not exactly the end of the world but having both drivers failing to get into Q3 will have been a slight concern.

Mixed Fortunes

By the end of the first lap, Adrian and Vitantonio climbed up one place each and both drivers were in the hunt for points during the early stages of the race.

But Mark Webber’s terrifying incident changed the complexion of the whole race and Sutil was able to take advantage of this. Thankfully the Australian is OK.

After the safety car went in, Adrian found himself in eighth place and was well placed to score more points. Liuzzi was not so fortunate since he lost time whilst waiting for the completion of Sutil’s tyre change.

I’m sure Tonio will have been frustrated with the whole weekend and getting a 5 second penalty did not make a difference since he finished outside the points anyway.

Former driver Sutil pulled off a great move to take seventh place from ’s . He then moved up to sixth following ’s late pit stop.

Like his team-mate, Adrian did get a penalty but he still kept his sixth place. It was a fantastic result for Force India and for Sutil.

No one seems to realise that Adrian has now scored points in the last five races. Dare to say it but if he continues like this then I’m sure there may be one or two teams that would be interesting in him.

Personally I feel that Adrian should remain with Force India because I feel next season and possibly towards the end of this year, the team will start challenging for podiums. The team have a very quick car and the team have proved that they can compete with the big boys.

Force India are certainly on the up and there is more to come from them. Mark my words.
