The next Michael Schumacher?

As for the three other German drivers looking to do better than Schumacher, you would have to say, they have the driving ability, but they are in the wrong cars.

Becoming now more of a veteran, Force India driver is proving he can overcome driving for a mid table team and get them the points, but the world is still waiting for him to drive for a potentially title winning team. Coming in the same generation as Hamilton, Sutil has slowly been making an impact in F1. His speed was obvious from the start and now has the experience, including having to recover from a possible podium in Monaco two years ago but a shunt from Raikkonen five laps remaining stopped the Force India driver from accomplishing that. Adrian definitely has the potential to become a superstar, but with the amount of other and more successful drivers, he will have to do well to even get into one of the big teams.

Unfortunately there is one German driver that won’t make an impact this season. ’s season was over as soon as he stepped into a Virgin racing cockpit. Finishing a race is an achievement for him in this new car that not so long ago put in a new engine that can now finish races.

The latest product from German racing, now racing for Williams, Nico Hulkenberg could be the next Vettel, let alone Schumacher. Already out-qualifying Schumacher in his third race in Formula 1, shows that this kid can quickly adapt to these dangerous machines. Like Lewis Hamilton he had the makings of a star from an early age. Showing his skills in karting, Formula BMW, A1GP, Formula 3 and GP2 by winning everything there was in those series, some of them in his rookie season. He gave a big nudge to the whole of the motor racing world, which gave Patrick Head no choice but to bring him into the world of F1 straight away.

With this generation and the next sorted, I think the future of German racing is at an all time high. But could Hulkenberg make in an impact in his rookie season of F1, he has in everything else he’s done, could beating Schumacher be part of this?
