After the disappointment of it’s off to Malaysia for the third Grand Prix of 2010.

BMW Sauber’s is yet to finish a race this season after a hydraulics problem in the first race and crashing out in Australia. Kobayashi had a great start to his Formula one career when was forced to finish his Toyota season early at the end of last year, and Kobayashi took the F1 spotlight with both hands, this season has been a different story.

“The last two races for me were very really bad luck. In the first one I had a problem with the hydraulics which I was not really expecting from the winter test. In the last race I think the front wing failed, but also for me it was quite difficult.

Last year the last two races for me were great. I had no testing, like only eight months and I expected it to be really hard but the car had good potential. I spent two years as a test driver, so it was very easy to communicate with everybody and really easy to get there. This year it’s a new team and we have to work hard. At the moment I am not showing the performance myself as I didn’t finish race, but the most important thing in the future is to finish the race.”

De La Rosa has had a mixed start, also having to finish the race in early through a hydraulics problem, but then fought hard and was just outside the points in the last Grand Prix. It will be a demanding race in Malaysia and De La Rosa will enjoy the stern test ahead of him.

“The Sepang circuit is one of my favourite tracks. It has a lot of rhythm with many flowing corners which reminds me a little bit of the Circuit de Catalunya. The track in Malaysia is physically extremely demanding, especially because of the humidity and the heat. I like driving there a lot!

It is important to be fit for there. For a driver it is by far the toughest race on the championship calendar and it is also very demanding on the car. I think if you are quick there you are quick everywhere, and, as I said before, it is a bit like Barcelona and both are very representative of what we find at other circuits. This means it is a good test bench for the drivers and the cars.”

The weather in Malaysia could mean the race will see many Safety cars out with heavy rain expected, but I’m sure after last weekends exciting race, this one could be another spectacular show from the 24 Formula One drivers.

John’s Weekend Prediction – After the great performance from McLaren last week, it is hard to see not coming out going for a second straight victory in Malaysia but this weekend Red Bull will cause many problems for teams.

1st – Button

2nd- Vettel

3rd – Alonso

The Sauber team in my eyes will learn from last week and be around the points again this week. De La Rosa 8th, and Kobayashi 10th is my prediction.
