After suffering from reliability problems in his last two Grands Prix, Sebastian Vettel’s ‘Luscious Liz’ took the chequered flag to claim his and Red Bull’s first win of the 2010 season.
We look back at a fantastic 1-2 for Red Bull, an eventful qualifying session and impressive drives from Force India’s Adrian Sutil and Toro Rosso’s Jaime Alguersuari.
A race that slots in somewhere between the first two Grands Prix in terms of thrills and spills, the Malaysian Grand Prix was pretty good. The race in Sepang didn’t have the excitement of the action in Melbourne but was a whole lot better than the processional fare that was offered up by the season opener in Bahrain.
The qualifying session was arguably just as exciting as the race itself, as Ferrari and McLaren in particular made a mess of qualifying. This just made for more work for Lewis Hamilton to do and he didn’t do a bad job either, making his way through the field with some top-notch overtaking manoeuvres to secure a respectable points finish.
