First F1 Race: 2010 (debut season)

25 year old Lucas di Grassi will make his Formula 1 debut for Virgin Racing in 2010 and the Brazilian will be hoping to make an immediate impact. Di Grassi began his racing career in the Brazilian Formula Renault series in 2002 after impressing in karting. He soon made the step up to Formula 3 and in 2005 finished 3rd behind Lewis Hamilton and Adrian Sutil in the standings. He quickly progressed to the GP2 series and in 2007 he raced for ART Grand Prix team and finished runner-up to his new teammate at Virgin Racing in 2010, Timo Glock. Di Grassi also tested for the Honda F1 team in 2008 alongside fellow Brazilian and F1 newcomer Bruno Senna, who lines up for Campos in 2010.
