Jaime Alguersuari
Team: Toro Rosso
First F1 Race: 2009
F1 Races: 8
Best Race Finish: 14th (2009)
Alongside Sebastien Buemi, 19 year old Jaime Alguersuari is part of the youngest and one of the most inexperienced driver partnerships at Toro Rosso. The young Spaniard was somewhat thrown in at the deep end last season when he replaced Sébastien Bourdais as the second driver at Toro Rosso for the final 9 races of the 2009 F1 season. In those races the Spaniard was forced to retire 5 times and things can only get better with his 14th position at the Brazilian Grand Prix his best finish in Formula 1 to date. Before joining Toro Rosso, Alguersuari competed in the Formula Renault 3.5 series, and 2010 will be another season under the Spaniard’s belt, with the 19 year old having plenty of racing years ahead of him.
