Fernando Alonso, Alguersuari, Jarno Trulli and Grosjean also retire.

I am aware this is probably off subject, but I am wondering if anybody in this forum has any experiance with e-cigarettes?
I have been planning to give up smoking for several years and have attempted everything from the patch to perscription drugs. I am desparate, I have cancer and I don’t feel like getting cheated or tricked into trying somthing worse. E-cigarettes look like an interesting way to stop smoking cigarettes, but do they really work? And how do I know which one to buy, most seem to be 100′s of dollars and I can’t just afford to throw money away. I have cancer treatments to pay for.
If anyone has any experiance with this I’d really apreciate some advice.
